Gone Fishing sounded self-indulgent on paper, as long-time friends and comedy stalwarts Paul Whitehouse and Bob Mortimer embarked on a six part angling jaunt around the UK. On screen though it was a sheer delight. (Telegraph) You couldn't fail to soak it all in. There was something soothing and life-affirming in this embrace of the moment and the comfortable company of an old friend. A breath of fresh air, this enjoyable show could be one of the most therapeutic and relaxing on television. (i news)
