Hugely popular escapist fare from veteran director Sam Peckinpah (The Wild Bunch, The Getaway), Convoy was inspired by C.W. McCall's hit song of the same name.Building on the late 70s appeal of the CB radio, the film focuses on a group of truckers who form a convoy under the leadership of Martin Penwaild, AKA Rubber Duck (Kris Kristofferson, Blade).
